Christian and Meret two Swiss designers came to visit us. Christian lives and works in Zurich he designed a system called 'Mach's Dir Selber' which translates to Do it Yourself to Yourself. A series of products you can make following very simple instructions on a leaflet. Check it out. Meret works in London and she designs trainers for Puma, her next collection will come ut in 2008!

Ikuko came to deliver new ceramic designs to be sold at The Old Sweet Shop. Nelson Crespo a Portuguese artist living in London and friend of Ikuko also came to show his work. Nelson uses a unique Japanese printing method to produce his artworks.

Ellie from Vitamin came to measure The Old Sweet Shop space. Why? All will be revealed on the July 5th!

Met Maria Lintott a ceramic designer who explores the expressive potential of tableware and invite us to become acquainted with her pieces through the sense of touch. She already sells her work to Heals and Designers Guild and soon at The Old Sweet Shop too!

Ikuko Iwamoto came to visit us and bring her porcelain objects which as she says are the vehicle to make visible the invisible, microscopic world. A world of intricacy and detail, of mathematical pattern and organic chaos. Her work will be on sale at our shop at the end of April.

Product designer Robert Phillips came to discuss an interactive seating object to be devised by the local community of Southfields. We also discussed a possible show where people can use touch to experience the artworks. Watch this space.

Alistair Hall from We Made This came to discuss a joint project about the life at The Old Sweet Shop. We Made This is a design studio specialising in print design and ideas. No it's not a fashion accessory he's broken his wrist bone in a cycling accident in Brockwell Park.
