Chisato came to collect her book '9-5' that she exhibited in the Trees show. She'll be flying to Kobe in Japan for her solo show - Paper Sculptures - at the Kitanozaka gallery on May 8th. Check it out (in Japanese)
Alex Gough did a talk about his work. He explained how he is strongly influenced by the unique light of the Scandinavian winter. How the notion of the sublime is one of the key elements he explores, he also talked about his painting processes and methodologies.
Chisato delivered 'Untitled - from Season series' which was sold on the current show Trees. It is a limited edition of 5. She then did her artwork entry on The Old Sweet Shop Sketch Book.
Oona Culley and her dad Julian Culley came to photograph the Trees show. Jullian had just been to The British Museum to research a Greek Owl for his latest commission. Cool Vespa!
We've had a very good turn out. Oona Culley's The Last Leaf was sold on the night. It was also the birthday of one of the artists - Jane Gregory. Well done everyone. More show pics will be posted as they arrive.
We now have a display on one of our windows. We called it Window Shopping. The idea is to display work by new emerging designers. We will sellect work that reflects the theme of the main exhibition. This time we have Amelia's Magazine and her bags, t-shirts and of course the fab magazine that glows in the dark! We also have Sukie wonderful note books and tea towels and finally the stunning cards of Paul Farrell all to do with Trees.
